CPT Male Genital Procedures
The Refresh With YES: CPT Male Genital Procedures Learning Path is a comprehensive overview of the procedures related to the male genital system, consisting of five webinars with a duration of 15-24 minutes each. The series covers a variety of topics ranging from male anatomy to penile procedures, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), and other associated procedures. Throughout the series, the technique and indicators of each procedure are thoroughly reviewed and discussed. Additionally, the series covers the CPT coding of medical reports and case studies, citing any applicable CPT Assistant articles and CPT guidelines.
By the end of the series, learners will be able to discuss the organs and functions of the male genital system, describe the indications and technique for TURP and associated procedures, describe the indications and technique for prostatectomy, review the codes available for the penis body part in the male genital system subsection, describe correct coding of penile procedures, including circumcision for newborns and older patients, review other procedures performed on the testes and associated structures, and apply CPT guidelines and advice from CPT Assistant to the coding of case scenarios.
