The 2022 CPT code updates have been released, with the CPT code book available in late October or early November. Over 400 editorial changes are included in the 2022 edition, with 249 new codes, 63 deletions, and 93 revisions.

Are you up-to-date on the AMA CPT Code revisions from 2021 regarding codes 29822 and 29823 for arthroscopic shoulder debridement? The AMA revised the codes with some definitions of limited vs. extensive debridement.
AHIMA and AHA published updated FAQ documents to answer questions regarding COVID-19 coding at the end of August 2021. Five new FAQs were published, and four of which discuss provider documentation vs. COVID-19 test results and the coding of current vs. history of COVID-19.
Review the revised and deleted CPT codes and introductory guidelines for these Integumentary System subsections: Breast, and Repair and/or Reconstruction subsection. AHA provided updated reporting guidance for CPT codes 19342, 11970 and 19370.
