COVID 19 Coding Update Course Reviews New Coronavirus ICD-10 Codes & Guidelines
The Refresh With YES: COVID-19 ICD-10 Coding Learning Path gives coders the updated COVID-19 ICD-10-CM/PCS coding guidelines and advice. The ICD-10-CM course covers the FY 2021 COVID-19 coding updates, as well as the diagnosis coding issues for COVID-19-related cases that AHA/AHIMA cover in their FAQ sections. The ICD-10-PCS course also reviews the 12 new hospital procedure codes for COVID-19 therapeutics. It’s important to note that these codes are assigned for surveillance and tracking the effectiveness of certain treatments; they do not impact payment.
The courses offered within this learning path include:
- Course 1: COVID-19 CM Codes and Guidelines
- Course 2: PCS Codes
YES Educators Ann Zeisset, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, and Teri Jorwic, MPH, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, FAHIMA, lead this course. This course provides 1.5 CEU certificates (1.5 AAPC CEUs and towards 1.5 AHIMA CEUs).
Find this course on COVID 19 code updates, additional CM and PCS coding refresher courses, and more on our YES Education Site.
Corporate pricing for courses and academies are also available upon request (request a demo here!).
YES HIM Education helps coders stay up-to-date on how to code the latest medical coding topics, especially COVID-19! Furthermore, one HIM client coder says, “Thank you to the YES Education Team and the YES Academy Educators! I took the CCS exam and passed, I would not have been able to do that without your education and the ICD-10 Academy. The live Q&A sessions for the academy offer the one-on-one experience that you don’t see with most online courses.”
