CMS Announces New ICD-10-PCS Procedure Codes Effective April 1, 2024
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the implementation of 41 new procedure codes for ICD-10-PCS, effective April 01, 2024, available here.
The ICD-10 MS-DRG Grouper software program to accommodate these 41 new codes, Version 41.1, effective for discharges on or after April 1, 2024, is available here.

A grouping of code topics is listed below.
- Insertion of palladium-103 radioactive implant into the brain
- Irreversible electroporation for cardiac ablation
- Laparoscopic hand-assisted surgeries (25 codes)
- Resection and excision procedures identified with qualifier G
- Choanal dilation (nasopharynx in Table 097)
- Pedicled Omentoplasty (Transfer omentum to thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, or inguinal region with approach values 0 or 4)
- Administration of tPA and DNase into pleural cavity
- New Technology code for the Introduction of antineoplastic talquetamab into subcutaneous tissue
- New Technology code for electrical biocapacitance for assessment of pressure injuries
